Galen Glen
We toast all ladies with a complimentary wine tasting and a Galen Glen tasting glass. Also, Grab a snack from Buy the Farm – Specializing in homemade dips, salsas, hummus and our winemaker’s favorite – homemade pita chips, Aaron and Marisa also bring locally sourced surprises like sandwiches and baked goods.

It’s Mother’s Day and what better way to say “Thanks Mom” or “I Love You Mom” than with Mimosas and a cheese and fruit plate. Available at the Vineyard in New Tripoli from 11 am - 6 pm on Mother’s Day. No reservations required. Plus, Sunday Blues from 2 - 5 p.m, $5 per person, includes wine tasting.

MAMAste YOGA with Jackie at Tolino

As always our Yoga in the Vineyard Series kicks off on Mother’s Day, May 14. We’re honored to welcome back Silver Kim to lead us in an hour of rejuvenating and relaxing poses. Pinnacle Ridge 2017 Open House Concert Series – Scott Marshall & the Hillbilly Souls
This summer, we’re going to have a ton of fun music in our rustic Bank Barn! We have a stage, tables and chairs, a bar, food trucks, and a crowd that’s always ready to dance it up. Join Clover Hill Winery for a vineyard and winery tour. We will show you the Clover Hill way from the grape to the glass. Tours last approximately 1½ hours and we sample a few wines as we tour. Wine lovers looking to do something different this year to celebrate Mother’s Day can take mom to a Lehigh Valley Wine Trail member winery for the following activities and events:

Blue Mountain Vineyards, New Tripoli – Reserve a table for Sunday Blues from 2 - 5 pm with award-winning band Scott Marshall and Marshall’s Highway ($5 cover charge includes wine tasting; reservations required) and bring a picnic lunch. Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor - will host its Annual Mother’s Day Yoga class in the Vineyard. Enjoy an hour of yoga led by Silver Kim of Kula Heart Yoga in Bethlehem and then head back to the deck at the winery and enjoy a light brunch and mimosas. Yoga begins at 10 am and is $20 per person and includes the yoga, brunch, mimosa, and a tour of the winery at noon. Limited spaces are available and is always a sell out event. Easter Bunny visits in a helicopter
April 4
 
From noon - 6 p.m. there will be crafts for the kids and a jelly bean and wine pairing for the adults with the purchase of a premier tasting. The bunny will arrive via helicopter around 3 pm and will stay for photos. Flying the helicopter is weather dependent, but the bunny and the wine and jelly bean pairing will still go on.

Second Anniversary Sale

Join us for free music Saturdays. Listen to local artists from 1-3 pm while sipping wine and enjoying the view. Artists include Blue Hearts Revelry, Tom Vicario, Matt Wheeler, Mike Pilgemayer, Erin McClelland, Chris Cummings Trio, The Brummy Brothers, The Jayplayers and more. Vynecrest plans for Mother's Day, Wine in Bloom and Jazz Sunday in May

The vineyard is starting to come back to life after the harsh winter. The vines are pruned and buds are starting to open up. We planted an additional 500 vines last week (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon). Hopefully the cold weather didn't claim too many vines.

The Vyneskeller is now open seven days a week from 1 - 5 pm. Monday through Friday it is self serve - you can buy everything you need upstairs in the tasting room (wine, cheese, crackers) and take it with you downstairs, on  the patio or out to the picnic tables. Saturday and Sunday it is business as usual with our full staff.

May 17 & 18 - Wine in Bloom along the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail
In addition to the beautiful potted petunias from Amore Greenhouses for the first 25 customers each day, Vynecrest will be doing Winemaker Tours of the vineyard and wine cellar free of charge for the public at noon both Saturday and Sunday.

We have a new PA Preferred Partner - September Farm Cheese from Honey Brook, PA - and we'll be offering samples of many of their delicious cheese in our tasting room along with complimentary wine tastings.

May 25 - Jazz Sunday and Vineyard Tours
In conjunction with Jazz Sunday, featuring live jazz music the last Sunday of every month in our Vyneskeller wine bar, our Winemaker Vineyard & Wine Cellar Tours will be held May 25, June 29, July 27, August 31, and September 28 at noon for $5 per person. Come tour the backlot of Vynecrest where the wine is grown and made, and then taste the finished product.

Glass Half Empty

Well we had quite a day yesterday as we christened our new screw cap bottling line. After a thorough five hour tutorial on Tuesday, Malachi and I were confident and primed to dominate 1,000 gallons of Blueberry Wine.

Ten minutes in I was holding five bottles of uncapped wine while the machine was spitting out capsules like a machine gun all over the floor. Suffice to say, we eventually figured it out and like most things around here, three months from now it will feel like it's always been there.

But it got me thinking how far this business has come. Growing up we used to bottle where the current Vyneskellar is. I used to have to recruit friends of mine to help alongside my parents and their friends. I believe we had two bottle washers, three manual hand corkers, two people using hair dryers to melt the caps, three hand labelers with glue, and two people putting away final cases. All told, it took 12 people all day to bottle 100 gallons of wine that looked like it was produced by a third grader.

So there we were yesterday, just Malachi and I, bottling 100 gallons every 25 minutes and it got me thinking: you can upgrade all you want but you can never replace the good old days.

Use 1 cup of Clover Hill Holiday wine and combine with 1 cup brown sugar.
Baste your ham frequently with this mixture for a simple and delicious glaze.

Celebrating Mothers

We will celebrate all mothers the best way we know how… with a glass of bubbly in hand! Visit the winery in Breinigsville toast all mothers. We will have two new sparkling wines to sample and special wine drinks to enjoy by the glass. Plan on a Clover Hill visit and celebrate mom.

A portion of Schantz Road is closed making it a bit more challenging to find your way to the Winery in Breinigsville; however, we will remain open during the construction. If you are planning on visiting the winery in Breinigsville, please use one of the attached detours. The detour will only take you a few extra minutes and we promise the wine will be worth the drive!

Have you ever done yoga... in a vineyard? Try it at Franklin Hill

As wine makers, we have a love for the land and soil that supports and nourishes our vines.  Wine in Bloom is a Lehigh Valley Wine Trail event that celebrates just that.

This year we're taking the celebration out to the vineyard by offering tastings next to the vines that the wines are made from. Following the tasting, our tours will continue into the winery and finish with an unexpected pairing with our award winning Sir Walters Red.  

Robert Michaels will be on the deck for your entertainment. We will have delicious dips from Robert Rothschild Farms and other light appetizers. Tours are available at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, and noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Groups of 10 or more please call ahead for reservations and more information.

Wine Tourism Day

Franklin Hill Vineyards is proud to be a part of Wine Tourism Day. On this countrywide day of celebration we will be offering tours at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. which will include tastings in the vineyard. Yoga in the Vineyard

Join us as we downward dog our way to tranquility and health. Kula Yoga's own Silver Kim, will guide us as we restore ours minds, bodies and souls with an hour of yoga in the vineyard. In the Vineyard
The poles are here and soon 2,000 new vines will start their journey in our vineyard. We're excited to get started and invite you to come see the process of planting. The vineyard we planted in 2008 is getting a little help with the addition of it's own irrigation system fed by it's very own well.

Amore - Mother's Day is the time to combine the love of flowers and wine at Amore. Choose from over 30 wines and hundreds of flowers, garden plants and hanging baskets.

Blue Mountain - On Mother's Day, Valerie Borman will be performing from 2-5 p.m. ($5 admission, includes a wine tasting). All mothers that stay for music will receive a flower.

Clover Hill - Celebrate Mother’s Day at Clover Hill Winery with a special sparkling wine drink. We will be celebrating all the Mothers with a sampling of a drink called ‘A Mother’s Kiss’. Stop in the winery for your sample!

Franklin Hill - On Saturday, May 12, Robert Michaels, one of Franklin Hill's favorite acoustic guitarists and singers will be on the deck to entertain mom while she enjoys a glass of her favorite wine.  Our staff will be ready to spoil all moms with lots of snacks and treats featuring Robert Rothschild's Farm dips and sauces.  To add to the fun we will be introducing our brand new "Wine Sampler" for those of you who after your tasting still can't decide what you would like to enjoy a glass of on our deck...now you can choose any four wines to have in your own unique sampler tray.

Vynecrest - We have First Blush wine on sale three for $25 this month for Mother's Day, always a favorite wine with the ladies. Also available, cake pops in bloom - five cake pops in a decorative flower pot for $12.99 from Sweet Indulgence by Christiana in Bethlehem.
