Bring your family, your camera, your smile and a donation for our 7th annual Toys-for-Tots Drive. Our friendly staff will help you capture a lasting memory. We will have an ornament for every household who makes a donation of a new, unwrapped toy or monetary donation. Plus, Santa will ensure your name makes it to the "nice" list.

To assist you with your holiday shopping, we are extending our hours on Wednesdays in December by opening two hours early and closing an hour later.

Plan your visit enjoy a glass of wine while you select the perfect gift from our selection of gift baskets, candles, glassware and custom-labeled wine. We also offer gift certificates in any denomination you choose.

Perhaps you would rather give a gift card. We offer gift cards in any denomination you choose. We will even mail the gift cards for you. Stop by or call the tasting room at 570-386-3682 during normal business hours to place your order.

Gift Baskets
Do you have a list of clients or staff and need an exquisite, memorable gift basket. We can help. Tell us your budget or items you want in your gift and we will create a basket that will impress any recipient. Please note: gift baskets cannot contain perishable items, nor be shipped.

Ship Our Wine to Someone
We can ship wine inside PA, as well as many other states. In PA order online. Outside of PA? Call our tasting room during normal business hours for details and to place your order. We ship wine in increments of 3, 6 or 12 bottles.

Are you the next champion? Do you think you have what it takes to win our third-annual chili cook-off in January? We are now accepting applications. Click here for an application. Space is limited to six chefs. The competition is open to professional chefs and home cooks. This year's chili cook off will benefit The West Penn Fire Company. Toys for Tots Drive

Help us bring holiday joy to the children of Schuylkill County and help the US Marines Toys for Tots campaign.  The box will be at the winery from now until December 16. You may also make a monetary donation. We have a thank you gift for every household who brings a gift, November 28 through December 14.

Santa Arrives
November 30

Santa will be in the tasting room taking your children's letters and wish lists. Bring the family and your camera, and pose for a photo.

Santa will arrive at the winery on Sunday, November 20 at noon and will be available for photos with your family. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or a monetary donation for Toys for Tots and Santa will add your name to the "nice" list and thank you with a special treat for your holiday tree. With your camera, the friendly staff at Galen Glen will be happy to assist your family in capturing a lasting memory. The Toys For Tots collection box will be at the winery every day from Black Friday through mid-December.

Love Hot Dog Company & The Lemonade Brothers
Sunday, November 10 from noon - 5 p.m.

Enjoy the gourmet sausage and dog stylings of Jason and the crew of Love Hot Dog Company and The Lemonade Brothers when they make their monthly pilgrimage to the mountains. If you haven't been to the winery when Love Hot Dog Company has been there, you don't know what you are missing. Jason serves everything from 100% beef dogs, to wild-game sausages and his own special toppings. Rumor has it the bacon jam may soon be bottled and available for sale. Arrive early in the day for the best selection. We will have some indoor seating for your dining pleasure.

HOLIDAY HOURS:
Beginning Wednesday, November 20 we will be open seven days a week (exception: closed Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving).

Our extended holiday hours will be:
Sunday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We will close at 3 p.m. on December 24 to celebrate Christmas with our families. We will be closed on Christmas Day.

POLICY CHANGE:
Beginning November 1 all wine that is sold to be consumed on our premises will be by-the-glass only. This will not affect wine tastings at the wine bar. We welcome you to visit, enjoy a tasting, take in our breathtaking views, and savor some snacks and a glass of wine at a table on our outdoor patio or inside the tasting room.  

If you are planning to come for a tasting or to any of the listed events with a group of six or more, we require reservations. These may be made by calling the winery at (570) 386-3682 during our normal business hours. Please note our weekend reservation openings fill fast, so please plan early.

Thanksgiving food and wine pairing recommendations

Thanksgiving is a great time to buy local by serving Lehigh Valley wines with your family's meal. Here are some food and wine pairing suggestions from our wineries, as well as their Wednesday business hours for last minute wine sales. All wineries are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Vynecrest - Young and fruity Vynecrest Nouveau Beaujolais is a great wine to serve with turkey. Vynecrest is open from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Galen Glen - Try their semi-dry Riesling, dry Vidal Blanc or - if you’re looking for the WOW – the 2010 Gewurztraminer, which is the Best White Wine by a woman winemaker. They are open on Wednesday from noon - 5 p.m.

Clover Hill -

• Riesling ~ whether you choose the dry Generations Riesling or the semi-sweet Riesling the bright peach and apricot flavors with strong acidity is a classic white wine to pair with your Thanksgiving foods.
• Pinot Noir ~ The Generations Sparkling Pinot Noir will be sure to make your holiday table sparkle. The dry, red Pinot Noir is the classic red wine pairing with the turkey, stuffing and more.
• Vignoles ~ Serving this sweet, late harvest wine is the perfect accompaniment to your pumpkin pies and other desserts. 

They are open Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Amore - For pairing with white meat go with Gregg's Gregio and Vidal Blanc. With dark meat, try Blushing Beauty or Rose Amore.

Franklin Hill - Try the 2011 Seyval Blanc, White Jade (which is slightly dryer with a hint of oak) or their Kiss wine to pair with your Thanksgiving turkey. Serve their Pomegranate Peach wine as a martini with appetizers. It was just awarded a Gold medal at the 5th Annual International Women's Competition.
The winery is open until 5 p.m. Wednesday evening, and the Easton and Tannersville locations until 7 p.m.

Pinnacle Ridge - Traminette is a great pairing for the traditional holiday meal since it has enough structure and "stuffing" to hold up to the bold flavors of stuffing and cranberry relish.  Alternatively, a light red like their 2009 Chambourcin would work perfectly well. They will be open from noon - 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Blue Mountain - Their 2011 Nouveau is very soft on the pallet with hints of strawberry and cherry and will be a great compliment to Thanksgiving meals. Mountain Spice (an apple wine) is wonderful this time of year. Heat it up slowly in a crock pot or on the stove and add half cup of brown sugar per bottle. They are open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Big Creek Winery - will be open on Wednesday from noon - 5 p.m.
